Privacy Policy
How Plainsight Systems LLC handles personal information on plainsight-systems.com and its project demo pages.
Last updated: October 11, 2026.
This policy describes how Plainsight Systems LLC (“Plainsight Systems”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through plainsight-systems.com and the project demo pages it publishes.
1. Who we are
Plainsight Systems LLC is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: privacy@plainsight-systems.com.
2. What we collect
Directly submitted. If you email an address on this site (hello@, legal@, privacy@ or security@plainsight-systems.com), we receive your email address, message contents, and any attachments or metadata your mail client includes. We process these to respond to your inquiry and to keep a record of correspondence.
Phone and voicemail. If you call the number listed on the Contact page, our telephony provider (Quo, formerly OpenPhone) receives standard call metadata (caller number, date and time, and call duration) and, if you leave a voicemail, the audio recording and an automatically generated transcript. Voicemails and missed-call notifications are forwarded by email to hello@plainsight-systems.com and handled the same way as email correspondence.
Automatically collected. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer, and user-agent string) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. These logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s retention policies.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tracking, fingerprinting, or third-party embeds on this site. There is no personalized content, A/B testing, or behavioral profiling.
3. Project demo pages
Interactive demos (for example, Seymour and Charlotte) are published at plainsight-systems.github.io or at subdomains of plainsight-systems.com (such as charlotte.plainsight-systems.com) and hosted by GitHub Pages, which processes requests under GitHub’s privacy statement. The demos send nothing back to Plainsight Systems.
- Some demos save settings or progress (such as game scores) in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device; clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
- Demos that run language models download the model files you choose directly from their host, such as Hugging Face, into your browser’s storage. That host receives the download request under its own privacy policy.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies:
- Responding to correspondence you initiate: contract necessity (where you are requesting a service) or legitimate interests (handling unsolicited inquiries).
- Security logging: legitimate interests in securing the site.
- Legal compliance responses: legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising or profiling.
Processors acting on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: hosting, DNS, CDN, request logging, security, and inbound email routing for the role addresses listed above. Cloudflare privacy.
- Quo (formerly OpenPhone): telephony, voicemail recording and transcription, and forwarding of voicemails and missed-call notifications to email. Quo privacy.
Each processor is bound by contract to process personal data only on our documented instructions.
Other disclosures occur only when required by valid legal process, to protect the rights or safety of Plainsight Systems or others, or in connection with a business transfer, in which case affected persons will be notified before their data becomes subject to materially different terms.
6. International transfers
Plainsight Systems is based in the United States. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with cross-border transfer restrictions, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
Correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address the matter raised and to keep a record of the company’s legal and business communications. Voicemails forwarded to a role address are treated as correspondence; original recordings kept on the telephony provider’s platform are also subject to Quo’s retention practices. Security logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s policy (typically days to weeks).
8. Your rights
Rights under applicable law include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. California residents also have the rights described under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any right, email privacy@plainsight-systems.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 30 days for GDPR; 45 days for CCPA).
9. Security
Traffic to plainsight-systems.com is encrypted in transit with TLS. The site is static: it holds no user accounts, sessions, or databases. To report a security vulnerability, see the Security page and /.well-known/security.txt.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact privacy@plainsight-systems.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We will update this policy as necessary and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be accompanied by a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
